Tourists who follow direction from Zagreb ( Hungary, Czech, Poland, Slovenia, Austria) come to Opatija following highway Zagreb – Rijeka, and then from Rijeka drive another 15 km toward west.

Tourists, who arrive from Slovenia and Italy, cross the border on Pasjak and Rupa and then in Matulji follow the direction to Opatija.

Guests from Dalmatians direction ( Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar) will follow Adriatic main road to Rijeka and another 15 km on west toward Opatija.

By bus

Opatija is well connected with main centers in Republic Croatia. All cities have excellent, directly connection to Rijeka and from Rijeka goes bus line 32 to Opatija which is 15 km distant from Rijeka.

By train

The city Rijeka is well connected by train with Zagreb and from railway-station in Rijeka, you can come by bus to Opatija.

By ship or ferryboat

If you want to reach Opatija by the see, all ferryboats to Rijeka-direction will be good. After arriving, catch the bus (line 32) or drive by car on the west, to 15 km distant Opatija.

The nearest airport is located on island Krk (Omišalj). There is famous bridge connecting island Krk with land at Kraljevica. Airport has organized transportation by bus to Rijeka (30 minutes long drive) and from there remain 15 km on west to Opatija.
